This lowly know-nothing layperson loves your sketches, you possess a wonderful facility with them. It’s fascinating to see how that plays out across the handful of mediums you’ve shared in your journal, here. And just a fine portrait this, my favorite part is the difference in texture of the eyes inside those oversized frames, whether you intended or not it brings to mind the surprising beauty or effect of asymmetry.

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such kind words! To be honest, my eyes are a little asymmetrical. I’d never done a self-portrait before because that feels vain right? So this was my attempt to highlight the things that are part of me and that I should love – especially my slightly wonky eye. Thank you again for leaving feedback! That was wonderful to read.
